I received my results from uni the other day and... I GOT A DISTINCTION! 
I'm so so happy; I worked my ass off this past year and I'm so glad that it paid off! Sacrificing my social life obviously worked hahahaha.
But yes, because of this I bought myself a subscription for a year I really really want to be able to pick up art again and shall start from the bottom by studying anatomy.

How Stressful Life Can Be
It's been nearly a week now so I thought I'd write a journal to keep everyone updated and to show I haven't done a mysterious disappearing act (hehe...)
But my Mac now works as usual which means I can get back into my normal way of life. And this "normal" way of life is extremely stressful.
I've got a 8000 word essay to do as well as thinking of some design briefs to set myself to be graded at the end of the year.
No pressure, I guess *cough*
So drawing has taken a back seat for a while but I am hoping to incorporate illustration into my graphic designs! :3

The Reason Why I Don't Do Digital
On Tuesday I was a bit of an idiot. What happened was that I so cleverly placed a pint of summer fruits squash right next to my laptop, went to get my memory stick, turned around and...
Well, the pint fell over and everything went over my laptop.
I literally shrieked and mopped off all of the squash but some had managed to get inside my computer! ;_; I was so scared, I thought I was a goner. Luckily I reacted quickly by turning it off (although I did turn it on again to quickly back everything up before turning it off) and left it on it's side so that the squash could come out of it.

Update: Managed to fix things up a little bit, so feeling a bit better... Would still like to see some tuts though! ^^
So... Anyone good at painting forests at all?
I'm having such a hard time with this piece; I've never done a proper forest before so painting the background is an absolute killer. I'm just so upset with it because of how much of a fail it is that I'm considering just giving up and starting a whole new piece despite working for ages on this.
Blaah.
So yeah; can anyone give me some advice on this please? I would really like to dab my hand at digital art but I am thinking of just doing this traditionally somehow.
