Seeing as loads of people seem to have done FAQ's and shizzle about themselves, I decided to try it out, but with a 'lizzie-style' ^_^ So it's a sort of questionnaire-with-more--personal-stuff-on-it kinda thing xD Please ask me questions, because I really feel like answering people today xD
Yo Lizzie! So, how come you joined this site?
Well I joined up on another account ages ago, and I guess that the reason I wanted to join because I luuurve signing up to things. I think the first time I saw DeviantART as a website was in year 10, as I was browsing through art sites and saw it. Then I thought: Wow, free sign-up! And you could say that I signed up and grew addicted to it.
Cool cool! What was your main intention of joining?
I really wanted to improve my art, but at first I only uploaded photography pics. Don't ask why, I was in the photography faze. Then I joined up to some fantasy clubs and drew some pictures for them, such as fairies etc (I was a HUGE fan of Victoria Frances and Amy Brown). And I think that DA helped me a lot with improving, because so many people here were really nice and gave me advice and critique about my work.
Wow, that's amazing! So it helped you improve, huh? Awesome. What's your favourite genre of art?
I always loved manga and anime, and when I was a kid I watched CardCaptors. It was my ultimate fave tv programme! Then in year 8 (so about 4 years ago) I joined up on this site called piczo, and I was obsessed with angels. I then found Angel Sanctuary pictures, and got addicted to anime even more. And - I have to admit - when RPing I used anime pictures. Sadly, I don't RP anymore, but my love for anime is still strong!
And do you draw manga/anime?
Yep! But only up until recently, say, about 5 months?
What tools do you use?
Well at first I stuck to traditional, but in August I recieved my Wacom Bamboo Tablet which enabled me to do things digitally. But even so I draw everything on pen and paper, and then colour it via GIMP. I just can't draw directly onto the computer yet Dx but I think it's better to use this method, because then I don't 'lose' my traditional art talent.
Traditional and digital? Wow! So what materials do you use?
For traditional art I use pencils, crayons, my fine-liner, rubber...that kind of stuff. I don't have any watercolour paint or anything, so I just stick with crayons.
For digital art I use my Wacom tablet and GIMP, because I don't have photoshop Dx
Going to a bit more personal question...how old are you?
16. Woop!
That's pretty young!
Are you trying to say that I'm pretty old too?
No way! Anyways, how does your username reflect you? Did you just make it up randomly or is it something personal?
Well I wanted to make a new account from my ~angelic-angel06 one, because I didn't like the way that name looked on my art works. So I wrote a list of cool names, but still couldn't find one. Then my friend came up with a nickname for me: DeagFatach, which means Mysticthorn. Now I have loads of emails, websites, everything with that name, and some people call me 'Deag' of 'Mysty'.
So you have more than one account?
Yep, this one and ~MysticThornStock and #HeartOfJapan. If you want to include my old and abandoned one, it is ~angelic-angel06
Do you comment, fave, or both?
Most of the time it's both, but when I don't know what to write I just fave. It's easier.
What's your most popular submission?
Hello Kitty Nya. I love it, but somehow I don't think it's my best work...
So what's your favourite work from your gallery?
It's quite difficult to choose, because I like all of my work yet I don't like any of them. I think my favourite might be Blood on the Moon.
Ah right, I see. What do you want to improve in your work?
I want to improve nearly everything: colouring, shading, atonomy...Hopefully then I could develop my own style so that people could recognise and say, "Hey! Lizzie drew that!"
You said that DA was addictive...
It is, I spend more than 3 hours on it everyday *face palm*. Wel, everytime I come on the computer I go on DA. After all, that's why I love art; because DA gives you lots of inspiration.
If you started doing commissions...could I buy art from you?
Hell yeah! Definately
Awesome! I think I should leave some question spaces for others...don't you agree?
Okay sure! Now people, ask away! xP
Yesh, that means YOU *points to whoever is reading this*
What was the last manga/anime you've read/watched?
Well the last manga I've read (and is still reading...actually, I'm reading it right now) is Kuroshitsuji, also known as The Black Butler. It is an epic manga, and I suggest you read it if you like killings and demons and shizzle. The anime that I'm still watching is Haibane Renmei, which is strange because I don't usually watch anime's like this one...
Have you ever considered drawing real people?
Actually, I used to them! I know, it's very hard to believe, but I did ^_^ That was before anime took over my mind xP But I wasn't very good Dx Ah wells. If I get the chance I'll upload some work I did of real people
Do you have a favorite non-anime tv show? If you do, what is it?
Oooh erm, that's hard. Well I have to say that F.R.I.E.N.Ds is my ultimate fave show, no matter what. I think Joey is hilarious, he just cracks me up all the time. Phoebe gets on my nerves sometimes though >.<
Have you ever considered doing your own manga?
Yeppers, and I ain't gonna do it xP You ask me why? Well I just can't do the thing where a charatcer has to look the same. One time the dude would be really skinny and handsome, and the next time it would look like a deformed bein. I'm serious, I just could not do thar kinda thing Dx too much effort...Yesh, I'm a lazy git.
Would you like a job that would include art or design?
HELL YEAH BABY! Honestly, I would be so over the moon if I could! This is what happens in my design class...
Teacher: Everybody, we are going to design a chinese dress and-
Me: *Zooms to the computer, already designing*
Yeppers, that's what I'm like
