Okay my past crazy state has now past. I've overcome my dilehmma in not being able to draw and being really depressed and angry etc, so now I've got a cool head. Thankyou to all of those who helped me calm down and gave me advice, it really meant a lot to me, xiè xie
So I'm back in gear, my car's getting ready to go - I haven't really got a car, bye the way - and I'm just sorting out the stuff. Also, I've now started commissions! And plus they're really cheap. I mean, cheaper than all the other commissioners. My highest cost is £6! So if anyone wants a commission at a low price then come to me ;) I'm waiting for you...
I've never done a commission before, so I'm really excited in starting out. So please, commission me?

Thankyou so much!
Also, I'm hosting yet another contest, but this time it's for my club :iconheartofjapan: . It's a really cool and unique idea, so go and check them out ;)

**edit** Yay I've now got one customer, all thanks to my friend (who hasn't got DA) Charli!

Commission Slots:

Wanna join my uber-awesome contest and win fabulous prizes? Then please visit: mysticthorn.deviantart.com/jou…

Objective of Contest :
Okay so here goes...What do you think that I would look like as an anime person? Would I be a neko, an elf, or just simply an anime/manga girl? When you first come across my page and talk to me what comes to mind? Would I have pink hair, strikingly blue eyes, or even...would I be something like a ninja? You decide. The main aim for this contest is so that I could (hopefully) come up with an anime/manga version of me, and use it in my pictures. That's one of the prizes: Your idea would be used in my drawings! ^_^ After all, I do really need to think of a design >.<
The person (me) that you are drawing would just be called Lizzie, because I'm so uninventive :P
It's entirely up to you on what I would look like! If you need help I have a stock site with many pictures of me on it, and you may use these photos as a base/reference, which could be found here MysticThornStock

Gah! I'm so peeved off right now.
I've been working on the same picture for over 3 hours and it still isn't working out. The backgrounds fine, yes it's perfect, but it's just the effin' person that always looks bad!
I can do bodies and everything, but when it comes to the face...I just want to scribble it out! I can do faces that look straight at you, but I fail epicly when I try a 3/4 side view. Gah! I'm so frustrated! The face always looks wrong; whether it is too long or too pointy or whatever, it just looks so wrong!
I don't know what to do ;____; I tried looking at the tutorials, but they are not helping at all. So please do not post me any tutorials because they don't work at all Dx I can only do 3/4 view when it's big, so when I try to put it onto a body on a A3 or A2 sheet of paper it just doesn't work at all. I'm so annoyed and upset ;____; I don't want to just do portraits! I want to do full bodies too!
Help, anyone? I really really need it right now. Please help me *____*

what kind of tutorials were you looking at?

or which ones specifically.

some tutorials are off themselves, and others don't really focus on proportion.
I think it's about finding the right tutorials.

Well the usual ones: How to draw a 3/4 view face, etc....but they weren't that good. Copying the pictures didn't help either >.<

copying picture pretty much never works and lol, draw shapes and understand how geometry works in 3D helps ;3.

I used to have the same problem, what I did is practice on a few pictures of artist I liked a lot , I just practicing coping the head and did them several times. When I started they were horrible at first.... that's why I practiced in my own time and didn't post those. And after like 20-30 sketches I started to get better and better and now I'm comfortable with it. What I would recomend you do is to try different poses as many as different as possible that really helps. Also don't do just one part of the head like for example don't start on the eyes, then the eye lashes , the pupil etc. When you do them, just focus on the form and position of the eyes, nose and mouth. Don't worry if the detail sucks at first, that's normal, just focus on getting the basics first. If you try a really hard face angle and you just get frustrated I would recomend tracing them first , that helps you understand it better when you copy it. Then try a different but similar pose, and eventually you will get used to it. The face and hands are the most diffucult thigs to draw because they express the most emotion, so don't worry if you struggling a little is ok.

Ooh thank you so much! So I jut draw the base outline of them first, correct? And then I could add the detail...I never thought of doing that. Thanks!

First do a circle/egg shape of the head, then the location and proportion of the eyes, then mouth, nose, hair etc. For the eye just do the outline of the eye withougt eye lashes or pupils. Then do the nose, ears, eye lashes and mouth without much detail. A good place to start is keeping in mind that the eyes are located in the middle-ish of the head, the bottom of the nose is one fourth. Abviously this is just basics, some heads will have the eyes higher, some lower than one half, but is a good place to start. Once you have a good idea of that and you are comfortable, start on the details. Having good basics will alow you to make more beautiful details and you will feel more comfortable being creative with them too.

Courage princess Lizzie !!!
~DaShortQuiet1 is right, you have to take no one but several breaks. It's really important, you know. Drawing is a so exhausting work. @ @

But I don't know what advices I could give you without the drawing.
Have you a special question ?
